Towns Fund and levelling up

Ashfield District Council was awarded £62.6 million of Towns Fund support from the UK Government, to invest in the regeneration of Kirkby and Sutton. The Council and its partners commissioned Chimera to review the employment, skills and business support needs and explore opportunities for meeting gaps in provision across the district. Through an extensive programme of consultations with almost 30 stakeholders in the commercial, public and voluntary sectors, and an analysis of labour market and local economic intelligence, we developed a series of outline proposals. Our work culminated with an indicative action plan for the employment, skills and enterprise strand of the overarching Towns Fund Investment prospectus.
